Every year on our child headed families project our team of social workers offer our 3^rd year families the chance to spend time training at our vocational school. This training offers nationally recognised qualifications in carpentry, tailoring and brick laying.

Our 2020 students’ learning was hugely impacted by the covid pandemic but due to their enthusiasm and desire to learn a trade that would enable them to earn money to provide for their families, they caught up with their studies and graduated in April 2021.

These images show their final exam efforts, and upon graduation they also received a set of tools and materials, as well as a business grant to get them started in their chosen trade.

We are so proud of their efforts and the work ethic they have shown during this incredibly difficult time, and there was no better way to celebrate than with cake!
