meet edith!
Edith was a remarkable woman who devoted her life to caring for orphaned children in Uganda. Despite the challenges she faced, she poured her heart and soul into creating a safe and nurturing environment for these vulnerable children. However, as she grew older, Edith became increasingly worried about what would happen to the children once she was no longer able to care for them. It was during this time that she met two students, Pam and Keren, who shared her passion for helping these children. With their promise to continue Edith's work and fundraise in the UK, a glimmer of hope was ignited within her. She knew that her legacy would live on through these two young women, and the children she had devoted her life to would continue to be taken care of even after she was gone.

tHIS IS OUR team
Edith's Hope, employs four social workers who conduct house visits and distribute essential goods to vulnerable communities in need. The social workers are trained professionals who are skilled in identifying and addressing the needs of the community they serve. Doreen and Christine, who are also alumni from the child-headed families project, bring a unique perspective and firsthand experience to their work, which helps them better understand the challenges faced by the families they assist.
